Ajoka Theatre offers a special theatre treat on 25th and 26th of August. Ajoka's latest play "Dora Ka Intezar" (Waiting for Dora) is being presented on 25th of August. On the following day, there will be a revival of Ajoka's iconic play "Bulha", marking Baba Bulleh Shah's Urs anniversary. "Dora Ka Intezar", written and directed by Shahid Nadeem, is a story of workers of a factory waiting for a mysterious foreign visitor, Dora, who would solve all their problems. But they are in for surprise! Bulha, on 26 August, is an occasion to rejoice and spiritual uplift. The play has received international acclaim and has been performed in countries including India, Iran, Oman, USA, and UK. Written by Shahid Nadeem and directed by (late) Madeeha Gauhar, "Bulha" is the first major play on the life and message of a great Sufi. It includes live qawwali and mystical dancing. The play is being revived on great public demand after a gap of 5 years. Both plays are being presented in collaboration with the Lahore Arts Council and are free for public, on a first come, first served basis.
